Microsoft unveiled its newest device, the Surface Book, (A.K.A the ultimate laptop) earlier this month, giving apple's Mac a tough time. The new computer has placed itself directly next to apple in terms of reliability and power. It may seem like an unlikely sell, but recent statistics have shown that this new computer is going to give apple some serious competition.
The Surface Book, a laptop-tablet hybrid, has a 13.5-inch touch display, 12 hours of battery life, an Intel Core i5 processor and 128GB of memory. The entry level version starts at $1,499 and the cost goes up to $2,699 for a version with a Core i7 processor and 512GB of space. For comparison, Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,299 and comes with 10 hours of battery life, an Intel Core i7 process and up to 1TB flash storage. Microsoft’s new product has hit tech reporters’ mailboxes and the reviews are out. Can it really compete against Apple’s trademark laptop (MacBook-Pro)?

This new company’s goal is to create simple, high quality 3D printers that rely on high-end lasers to craft objects from resin (A sticky, organic substance exuded from trees and other plants). A large number of companies are leaning towards 3D printing, a popular section seen as the future of manufacturing. In addition to startups, large companies are also getting into the market of 3D printing.
